ZG Raiffeisen extends its use of SAP OGSD
03/28/2012 ZG Raiffeisen extends its use of SAP OGSDBio processes and gas business now integrated
Implico, the international consulting and software company, today announced that ZG Raiffeisen Energie has integrated its bio processes and gas business into SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution (SAP OGSD). In doing so, it received support from Implico, which developed the turnkey industry solution marketed by SAP in close collaboration with the industry.
ZG Raiffeisen originally went live with SAP OGSD at the beginning of 2010. Since then, the solution has been supporting all the cooperative's loose and solid fuel trading operations. ZG Raiffeisen benefits from optimized working procedures within a standardized, and thus more efficient, IT environment. It has also seen a substantial reduction in maintenance work.
The energy business was recently spun off into an independent company. As the employees were very pleased with SAP OGSD, they were keen to adapt the solution for their own needs, and even extend it to handle other processes. Implico provided the support they needed to achieve this. First, the oil and gas industry software specialist put the FI/CO processes in place and modified adapted the documentation. Implico also mapped the energy trading procedures for the product portfolio of industrial gases, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), carbon dioxide and biofuels. The project was successfully completed before Christmas 2011, allowing ZG Raiffeisen to start 2012, as planned, with its new business structure in place.
