06/03/2010 Successful Rollout of SAP SSR to Avia MembersImplico Optimizes Service Station BusinessSince April this year, SAP SSR (Service Station Retail) has been handling the complete range of service station business at Avia Distribution SA (ADSA) in Lausanne, Grisard AG and Fritz Meyer AG (both Basel). All three companies are members of the Avia organization. The industry solution was implemented by Implico AG. Based in Biel, the company is the Swiss branch of the global Implico Group.
The solution installed extends the previously implemented trade system SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution (SAP OGSD). The new solution significantly improves the service station business processes while consolidating these into an integrated system.
The SAP SSR implementation was carried out as part of a joint project involving all three companies and also entailed a number of customer-specific developments. As one example, the three companies' Avia card management and billing process has now been implemented entirely within SAP.
About Fritz Meyer AG and ADSA
Fritz Meyer AG is an independent Swiss petroleum importer. The company has its own service station network and trades on the international markets. In 1927, the company became one of the founding members of the Avia organization. Together with its Lausanne-based subsidiary Avia Distribution SA (ADSA), Fritz Meyer operates 90 of the 696 AVIA service stations in Switzerland's Valais and northwest/western regions.
Grisard AG
The Grisard Group is family-owned and has operations in three industry sectors. Involved in the trade, storage and transportation of engine fuels, combustibles and lubricants, the company is also active in the road construction sector.
Here, Grisard has been a familiar name in the Swiss asphalt market for 95 years and operates around 100 service stations – some with stores – as a founding member of Avia. Thirdly, the Grisard Group is also involved in the real estate business.
