Implico nominated for 2010 Telematik Award

06/29/2010 Implico nominated for 2010 Telematik AwardGermany's Most Innovative Solutions to be Recognized at the IAA

The awards for companies offering the most innovative telematics solutions in Germany will be presented on September 27, 2010 at the IAA. The Telematik Award recognizes outstanding products, concepts and practical applications. Implico, the software and consulting firm based in Hamburg, has been nominated in the waste management industry category for a project it carried out for the Tönsmeier Group, one of Germany's largest private waste management companies.

The solution developed by Implico permits Tönsmeier's orders to be processed more flexibly and significantly increases overall fleet efficiency. Order throughput has also increased. This enables Tönsmeier to boost its sales volume without needing to invest in additional vehicles or extra personnel.

Thirty-five skip loaders are currently working with its telematics solution, which will be extended to include over 250 vehicles by 2011.

The Telematik Award is presented in a total of 15 categories. Lower Saxony's Economics Minister Jörg Bode, the patron of this event, and Klaus Bräunig, Managing Director of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), will present the awards at the IAA, the world's leading exhibition for mobility, logistics and transportation in Hanover. The award is sponsored by the specialist journal Telematik-Markt.
