PETRO EXPO, SAPPHIRE and ILTA – Implico maintained a strong and successful presence at US trade shows in May and June as a number of state-owned and private oil companies from across the US continent have shown an interest in using Implico's solutions for their downstream business. There were even a few visitors from Europe and Australia.The US trade show season kicked off with PETRO in San Antonio, Texas. Here, Implico joined forces with partner Coggins International to present automated applications in the area of energy logistics meeting DLA program requirements (Defense Logistics Agency Energy Program). Implico used numerous demos to show how SAP for Oil & Gas can be seamlessly integrated into OpenTAS, the terminal automation and administration system.
Mobility was one of the major topics at the SAP trade show SAPPHIRE in Orlando, Florida. Here, Implico was able to impress visitors with the new IDM (Integrated Dispatch Management) solution. Developed by Implico, this SAP solution for intelligent transport planning also supports the integration of mobile devices. All workflows are therefore possible in real-time, including order acceptance, dispatching, tour optimization, driver communication and confirmation. Several companies from North, South and Central America showed keen interest in this and other solutions from Implico, such as SAP EBS solution OpenTAS and SAP OGSD, Implico's all-in-one solution for the industry for the efficient distribution of oil products.
For the last trade show, Implico traveled back to Texas again – this time to Houston and ILTA, where a number of SAPPHIRE leads were successfully followed up and a lively technical discussion also took place at Implico's stand with delegates from partner FMC Technologies. The American terminal management trade show – comparable to StocExpo in Europe – was significantly more technology-focused than the earlier SAPPHIRE event. Accordingly, Implico demonstrated the efficient control of loading and shipping processes in refineries and fuel depots with the OpenTAS TMS (Terminal Management System) module, and the use of the OpenTAS BDP (Business Data Processor) module to ensure trouble-free data communication between the loading and ERP systems. TTS700 was also a topic: based on OpenTAS, this loading software for FMC flow meters (Accuload and Microload) is easy to use right out of the box.
